Some classics on this menu for afternoon tea – sticky ginger cake and lemon meringue pie. Ginger Parkin might have been a more typical Yorkshire choice for this time of year you might say however I’m not a big fan of it. I love it’s ‘sticky cousin’ though and this recipe has had rave reviews when I’ve produced it before so seemed a good choice to acknowledge the season. Lemon meringue pie is new to my repertoire along with the macarons!

What an amazing menu! Being veggie with the occasional fish thrown in, this is right up my street. I would find it very very difficult to choose between your cake options, each of them sounds so good! How long are your guests allowed to stay and try to fit everything in? 🙂
Hey Lorna. Thanks again for your comments. Guests are not expected to choose between one thing or another on the menu – they can have everything if they like (or have the appetite to fit it all in!). The difficulty of feeling they have to choose is entirely removed though because everyone gets to take a doggy bag home too!
Ah, you’re a genius! I was thinking my trouble would be capacity, just not being able to try everything on offer, but a doggy bag is the perfect answer.
