I am passionate to share my baking and chocolate knowledge and experience and I am offering 1-2-1 tuition in your own kitchen tailored to your level of experience and need.
Perhaps you are frustrated and confused as to why your last creation attempt failed? Or want to attempt something more challenging and need someone to help guide you and give you the confidence to try it? Regardless of where you are in your baking journey, success or failure is hugely influenced by your oven, equipment and ingredients. For this reason I advocate learning is best in the comfort of your own kitchen using equipment you are familiar with.
Why 1-2-1? Not only are you learning with your oven & equipment, it’s virtually impossible to get the individual attention in a cookery school class environment to ensure each step is exactly correct to ensure success of your creation.
Some examples of things I could help with include:
- Do you want to master macarons or pastry?
- Would you like to just make a simple Victoria sandwich cake well?
- You want something more advanced and challenging such as a Fraisier cake or Gâteau Opéra?
- You are struggling with aspects of chocolate such as tempering or splitting ganache?
Having said all that, you may actually prefer to learn in my kitchen which I can also offer.
I have been baking and working with chocolate for more years than I can remember learning from experience, attending many a course but also directly from the hand of very talented professionals such as Mark Tilling, head tutor at Squires Cookery School. I have been assisting Mark on his courses at Squires and was involved in recipe testing and proof reading of his most recent cook book, Mastering Chocolate.
