It’s been nearly three and half years since my last event.  Can you believe it?!

There were very valid reasons for that but I was super excited to announce …

… there was to be afternoon tea after all!

What a challenging time the last two years has been. It has affected us all in many different ways and highlighted issues often ignored, none more so than one closest to my heart; that of loneliness and isolation in our society.

There is a lot of stigma around this and the objective of one charity I support, The Marmalade Trust, is to get people talking about it. They have an annual Loneliness Awareness Week campaign, which is happening 13-17 June, and this got me thinking …

… what’s the perfect way to get folk together after all this time apart? …

… yep, you got it …

… whiling away the afternoon over a cup of tea … make that three … chatter, laughter, exchanging stories, sharing deliciousness … what could be more nourishing to the soul?

I just couldn’t ignore the massive urge to open my doors again.

I had such fun putting the menu together. I did put more items on it that I have done in the past so I had my work cut out for myself! I made sure every element would have its rightful place on my three tier cake stand …

Here’s the full menu … if the comments and feedback I had from my 6 lovely guests are anything to go by, they all thoroughly enjoyed it and left with full hearts and tummies 🙂
