This afternoon tea is a private booking of seasoned afternoon tea goers.  I understand that these ladies make a habit of enjoying such a pastime although it will be a first for them to be ‘behind closed doors’ and experience their first secret tea room.  I currently work with a couple of the guests and indications are they are quite giddy with anticipation and excitement.  I hope they aren’t disappointed with the menu I have planned.  There is a vegetarian amongst them and another that prefers a ‘healthy’ choice on a menu and another’s favourite is carrot cake.   With these requirements in mind, this is the menu I came up with …
