As always, I had much excitement and anticipation for this month’s cake club event. Our member bakers never cease to impress with their creativity and lateral thinking when it comes to baking cake and I was in no doubt that this month’s theme, Let’s Go Retro, would be fascinating.
We were very kindly allowed back to a great venue that we had been to before, almost a year to the day in fact. The delightful Pickles Delicatessen in Baildon were our extremely obliging hosts again and a very big thank you goes to them because the evening wouldn’t have been the success it was without them. Pickles is both a tearoom and deli championing great, locally sourced food and drink.
We had eleven cakes in all and not one of them the same. Here they are in all their retro glory …
