You’d be forgiven for asking when is one not happy when cake is involved? I quite agree! But imagine for a moment, if you will, that you have a list of cake choices in front of you, maybe in your favourite tea room or local summer fête. What cake would stand out from the bunch and literally put a smile on your face and light your eyes up with an expression ‘ooh yes! … that’s the one for me’. Well, that’s your cake for this theme.
We had a fantastic venue for the evening at Hollins Hall Hotel in Baildon. We were given a cosy corner all to ourselves in their little conservatory with a wonderful view over the hotel grounds. The sunny summer evening added to the vista. A huge thank you to them for their hospitality and for helping make our evening so enjoyable.
We had 6 cakes in all. I hope they make you happy too; the only tinge of sadness I fear is what you have missed!
